Description
Location. The Kings Hotel First Class is located in the centre of Munich, Germany, less than a kilometre from the Old Town. The city's main train station is 200 metres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Set in a white fronted Victorian style building, the Kings Hotel First Class has a wood panelled lobby with original artwork. There is a traditional shoe shine service, and concierge staff can provide information on Munich attractions. The hotel can arrange shuttle buses to and from the airport and exhibition centre (surcharge).
The Bavarian style Weinstube restaurant serves light meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day. A buffet American breakfast is served in the traditional wood panelled dining room.

Expert Tip. The canals and beautiful grounds of Munich's Nymphenburg summer palace can be easily reached from the hotel. Take Tram 17, which leaves from the main train station, 200 metres away.

Getting there. The hotel in on Dachauer Strasse in Munich's city centre. The airport's train station is located between the two terminals on the basement level. The S8 and S1 S Bahn trains leave every 20 minutes for Munich's main train station (Hauptbahnhof). Journey time is about 45 minutes, and single tickets cost 8.80 EUR. Tickets must be validated prior to travelling. The Lufthansa Airport bus runs to the Hauptbahnhof every 20 minutes, and the single fare is 9.50 EUR. Taxis to the city centre cost around 55 EUR 65 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is located on Dachauer Strasse in central Munich. Much of Munich's city centre is pedestrianised and best explored on foot. The city's integrated public transport system includes buses, trams, S Bahn commuter trains, and U Bahn underground trains. Tickets cover all modes of public transport. Taxis wait at ranks around the city, but can be expensive. Trains run from the Hauptbahnhof to other German towns and the Bavarian countryside. Secure parking is available at the hotel (surcharge).
Driving directions. From Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport:
Take Highway A92 towards Salzburg, and then highway A9.
Take exit B2R to Trappentreustrasse, and then turn left on Landsberger Strasse.
Turn left onto Luisen Strasse.
Turn onto Arnulf Strasse and then take the first right onto Dachauer Strasse.
